Think twice, before giving advice!

Please think twice, before you give advice,
Because being a, 'know it all' isn't always wise!

There might be things that you know very well,
But please wait to be asked, before you show and tell;

When to get married, when to have babies,
You may know everything best, but they could be your priorities;

How to raise kids, what to do and when,
You might not think so, but people might have their own plan;

Dispensing advice is awfully easy to do,
Its tough though if someone throws it at you!

So please think twice, before you give advice,
And still, if you must, at least try and be nice!!!!!

These lines are just my personal advice (!!!!) on our favourite social activity of dispensing unwanted advice. Especially when it comes to marriage, pregnancy, and bringing up our children.

With a 5 month old in the house, getting advice daily has become a part of my life. Some of it is great - I would still be so much happier if people let me ask them for it.

The life lesson from this is - checking myself every time I feel the urge to give advice to someone who is pregnant or has a small baby. I hope I will be able to follow my own advice on this!!!!
